Best. Moment. Ever.

It’s been my dream since I first saw Conan years ago to one day be on his show. I had no idea why or how, but I had hope that one day it would happen. And thanks to social media and a plastic doll, I got my moment.  Pierre Bernard Jr. is a graphic design for Conan O’Brien and had what I’d consider my dream job.  We connected through his blog and Facebook, which led me to the bad-ass Steven Ho who blessed me with a bouncing baby boy. It’s been fun putting together AB’s brand online, and I did feel like winning was like fate since I was able to have fun with my favorite comedian and the web.  Still, nothing could prepare me for this moment at the DC Tour.  Watch the video starting at 2:45.

I am so glad that we have this video that was posted on YouTube, because this moment was completely an out-of-body experience!  The show was already amazing and I just grabbed the baby and started jumping up and down like a mad woman. The guy next to me already thought I was crazy enough and it cracks me up that he never uttered a word to me.

I was trying to yell “IT’S ASIAN BABY! FROM THE TONIGHT SHOW!” but the crowd was too loud. And I’m sure that the last thing that Conan was thinking was…

“That must be the plastic doll that I saved from an explosion, stolen by Steven Ho during the last episode, raffled off on Facebook, shipped across the country by UPS and is now being waved in the air by a crazy lady.”

I’m guessing it was more “that’s a crazy lady.”

After the Show

We got asked by a lot of people if the whole thing was a setup, and I kept explaining that it wasn’t but he was from the Tonight Show. I kept showing off his signed butt that makes him look like a cabbage patch kid.

Conan’s official camera guy came and found us and gave us a souvenir for “the best shot of the night.”  Yup, a limited edition Team Conan guitar pick!
